"Lift Each Other Up" Presentation: A presentation developed to help build an understanding of bullying behavior and encourage respect. The focus is on anti-bullying, anti-harassment and nurturing kindness in schools, work places and other organizations. It is fully customizable towards youth or adults and in many forms of presentations such as lunch and learns, half day workshops, individual services or in school student presentations. This is a popular program to run around the annual "Pink Shirt Day" movement every February. We take notes from each years theme to build into the presentation, but it can be booked at any time of year and can always be tailored to address particular problems within the group. -
Wellness Days: This is a fully customizable professional development/ mental health refresh/ retreat day for your staff or group members. Available in full or partial day durations, we ensure your needs are met and take care of organizing all the details of the experience, which can include services from outside providers and meals. A full day would generally consist of half of the day being dedicated to a wellness activity, which could include massages, aroma therapy, individual/group counselling, or whatever wellness focused activity you and your group feels would be most beneficial for their health and well being. The second half would include one or more of our Counsellors joining your group to facilitate discussion on stress, coping, team building or any other group or workplace mental heath topic your organization would like to spend time on. Half-day sessions could consist of presentations in the form of "lunch and learns" or morning or afternoon sessions, or even broken down to 1-2 hours. These sessions are also fully customizable to focus on the wellness topic that you feel your staff/ members needs to hear or discuss.
-
Self Regulation Sessions: Generally geared to youth but can customize to accommodate adults as well. Learning about emotions and how they impact our bodies and minds is key for children to build social skills, be successful in school, make good choices, and learn how to manage their stress. One hour session includes education on practical methods of how to better acknowledge and self regulate big emotions along with a make and take mindfulness jar.
-
Child and Family Service Workshop: This 2 day workshop is facilitated by Erin Moss and Mike Lang. It is designed with the intention to start a conversation about a First Nations community partnership with the Ministry of Social Services. It is also intended to increase community members and staff members knowledge around the child welfare system. This workshop is intended to raise awareness and understanding in community's of the child welfare system and how to navigate it in the most effective way. This workshop can build a community's understanding of the child welfare system in order to grow more confidence in advocating and supporting families involved in the system. Community's can utilize this information to identify areas within their child welfare system that do or do not align with their own culture and traditions. This is not intended to provide step by step conduct to your CFS system, it is simply providing information to guide you in making informed decisions. Topics covered include: Duty to Report, Intake & Investigations, Court Process, Section 9's, Court orders, Right of Families & Children, Roles, Support & Advocacy Available, Q & A, and Discussion on how does this apply to our community. Typically it is important for the following to attend: Chief & Council, ICFS Staff, School Staff, Health Staff and Prevention Staff. *Note: Training can be tailored to each community specifically and topics can be adjusted to what is most pertinent.
-
Other Customized Workshops: Do you have a topic that your business or organization could benefit from hearing about but don't see it listed? We can certainly tailor a workshop, lunch and learn, webinar or presentation of any duration on a variety of topics. These can include but are not limited to: Workplace mental health, general wellness, addictions, emotional identification and regulation, self care, youth mental health, anti-bullying, suicide prevention, traumatic events/ crisis debriefing, dealing with grief and loss etc. We would be happy to work with you to ensure we cover the message and tools you are wanting delivered to your group.
