
Kama Jones is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Addiction Studies. Originally from central Saskatchewan, she completed her post-secondary education in North Dakota before settling in the Tisdale area in 2009.
Since 2009, Kama has worked extensively in the mental health field. She began her career supporting youth at Tisdale Middle & Secondary School (TMSS), followed by her work with the Kinistin First Nation Wellness Centre. In 2012, she joined the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Mental Health & Addiction Services, continuing her commitment to serving individuals and communities across the Northeast.
Kama is passionate about supporting individuals impacted by mental health and addiction. She brings a trauma-informed, strength-based, and solution-focused approach to counselling, working collaboratively with clients to set achievable goals and build resilience through adversity. Her inclusive practice supports individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and identities.

Outside of work, Kama enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and keeping up with her children’s activities. In her spare time, she loves escaping to the lake, camping, and exploring new places.
